Sales Policy

We are happy to answer any questions and help direct you to a dairy goat that will best fit the specific goals you have in mind. We offer high quality dairy goats to those looking for a performance or show prospect. As working homestead farm we also often have the perfect animal for any family that may want a solid, consistent milk goat or starter herd. Thank you for looking at our herd!

Prices
Our prices currently range from $450 – $1200. All does out of first fresheners are $450. We do not sell bucks out of first fresheners; however, if we feel that a FF doe’s buckling may have the potential to be a quality herd sire, we will hold on to him until his dam is proven. We have always been very picky about deciding to maintain an animal as an intact buck. A buck has a far reaching influence on the potential for improvement on achieving the perfect breed standard. It is important to us that we only keep intact and offer herd sires that have the most potential to make improvements in the quality of the breed standard. Bucks will be priced at $100 more than does because they give far more offspring and make a greater overall impact on a herd. Although we do not foresee this happening, we do reserve the right to refuse ANY sale, at anytime, for any reason. If this should ever happen, you will be refunded whatever you have paid

Kid Reservations and Purchases
When putting a reservation on an unborn kid, a $100 non-refundable deposit is required. If the kid you have reserved is not born, then your deposit will be refunded or moved to a different paring of your choice. When purchasing a doe or buck, a $100 non-refundable deposit will hold your animal until the agreed upon pickup or delivery time. You may pay for your animal in full before pickup if you wish to do so; otherwise, the rest of what is owed will be payed upon pickup. If your reservation is from a prior year and the price of offspring from the same pairing goes up, the new price applies to your reservation.

For bred does, we do not offer them as “bred” until we know the doe has settled. For us, this means she hasn’t gone into heat for 2-3 months after being exposed to a buck. If for some reason the doe miscarries after she has left our property, that is beyond our control. No refund will be given. Goats are herd animals and require other goats for companionship. We care deeply about our animal’s well-being and want them to go to good where they will be loved and nurtured.

First Right of Refusal

If in the future you decide to sell your La Buena Vida goat, we request the first right of refusal at fair market value. Please contact us before you sell your La Buena Vida goat as your particular goats genetics may be very important to us.

Transport
Arrangements for transportation is solely the buyers responsibility. We are often able to meet buyers in Tucson or Phoenix. We do try to help support whatever transportation arrangements you have made to best of our scheduling availability.

Health
Our goats are guaranteed healthy at the time of sale. Once the animal leaves our property, NO guarantee is extended. Kids on our farm are treated for Coccidia as a preventative at 3, 6 and 9 weeks of age. They will be disbudded unless prior arrangements are made or the kid is born polled. We DO NOT vaccinate our animals. Kid goats are weaned at 8-12 weeks of age. All of our goats are registered with the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA). We will register all doe and buck kids at our expense. We will provide a certificate of registry and transfer at the time of purchase.  Registration in any other registries is the buyer’s responsibility. We do biosecurity testing on our herd every year for CL, CAE, and Johnes. Our herd has always been negative for any diseases. If a buyer wants a health certificate on the animal for travel, they are responsible for the expense. We do everything we can to support the health and well-being of our goats in preparation for travel.
