Sales Policy

We are happy to answer any questions and help direct you to an animal that will best fit the specific goals you have for your herd. We prefer our animals go to performance or show homes, but as a working homestead farm we often have the perfect animal for families who just want a solid, consistent milk goat. Although we do not foresee this happening, we do reserve the right to refuse ANY sale, at anytime, for any reason. If this should ever happen, you will be refunded whatever you have paid. Thank you for looking at our herd!
Our prices currently range from $450 – $1200. All does out of first fresheners are $450. We do not sell bucks out of first fresheners; however, if we feel that a FF doe’s buckling may have the potential to be a quality herd sire, we will hold on to him until his dam is proven. We have always been picky about bucks, but now we have decided to become even pickier! A buck has a far reaching influence on the potential for improvement on achieving the perfect breed standard. It is important to us that we only offer herd sires that have the most potential to make improvements in the quality of the breed as whole. Bucklings will be priced at $100 more than the does because they give far more offspring and make a greater impact on the herd. Our prices have nothing to do with color, blue eyes, or polled-ness. We do not increase our prices if a doe or buck wins Champion show titles because as Linear Appraiser and Show Judge Karen Smith says, “All you have to be is the cleanest white shirt in a stack of dirty laundry.” We base all pricing on results of performance programs and future potential.
Kid Reservations and Purchases
When putting a reservation on an unborn kid, a $100 deposit is required. If the kid you have reserved is not born, then your deposit can be refunded or moved to a different paring. When purchasing a mature or kid goat, a $100 non-refundable deposit will hold your animal until the agreed upon pickup time. You may pay for your animal in full before pickup if you wish to do so; otherwise, the rest of what is owed will be payed upon pickup. If your reservation is from a prior year and the price of offspring from the same pairing goes up, the new price applies to your reservation. For bred does, we do not offer them as “bred” until we know the doe has settled. For us, this means she hasn’t gone into heat for 2-3 months after being exposed to a buck. If for some reason the doe miscarries after she has left our property, that is beyond our control. No refund will be given. We only sell our goats to homes that already have goats, but if the buyer who does not have any goats is willing to buy more than one, or a pet wether to keep the animal company, then that would be acceptable. Goats are herd animals and require other goats for companionship. We care deeply about our animal’s well-being and want them to go to good, safe homes.
Arrangements for transportation is solely the buyers responsibility. We are often able to meet buyers in Tucson or Phoenix. We do not airship at this time. A boarding fee of $3.00 per day will be added if the animal is not picked up by the agreed upon time.
Our goats are guaranteed healthy at the time of sale. Once the animal leaves our property, NO guarantee is extended. Kids on our farm are treated for Coccidia as a preventative at 3, 6 and 9 weeks of age. They will be disbudded unless prior arrangements are made or the kid is born polled. We DO NOT vaccinate our animals. Kid goats are weaned at 8-12 weeks of age. All of our goats are registered with the American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA). We will register all doe and buck kids at our expense. We will provide a certificate of registry and transfer at the time of purchase.  Registration in any other registries is the buyer’s responsibility. We test our herd every year for CL, CAE, and Johnes. Our herd has always been negative for any diseases. If a buyer wants a health certificate on the animal for travel, they are responsible for the cost. We do everything we can to support the health and well-being of our goats in preparation for travel. We give adult animals a 5ml dose of B12 and Probios before traveling. This is to boost their immune system and make the stress of travel easier on them.
